1964-65 NEW YORK WORLDS FAIR BLUE & GOLD LUSTRE CERAMIC UNISPHERE BEER STEIN

This beer stein was part of our huge Worlds Fair and Exposition Collection. We mostly collected 1933/34 and 1939/40 items but also have many pieces from much earlier to much later Fairs. We offered the entire collection as a buy it now on with no takers and have since been piecing it out. My husband, seller named Jal12147 and I will be selling items till it’s gone.

This beer stein or mug is made of pottery. It consists of a dark blue design on white. There is a dark blue “background” that was actually painted in and glazed after the initial design was out on the mug form. The center of the mug is devoted to the Unisphere and the New York Worlds Fair banner and dates. The handle is what seems to be a tree trunk. It’s in excellent condition inside and out. It’s very clean with no chips, cracks, nicks or bare spots. It stands 6-3/8” tall and is 2-3/4” across the top and the base is 3-1/2” across.; The base reads: (c) NYWF Unisphere (c) presented by United States Steel.
