This Command was responsible for retrieval of NASA space capsule retrieval during the Apollo program moon missions.NASA/DoD Contingency Task Force 140 (CTF140) had overall organization of space flight recovery procedures in the Atlantic. CTF140 was based at Norfolk Navy Yard, Virginia, which is where the module would return to in the US.A great addition to your United States Navy war room memorabilia collection!
