This is from an estate of a fellow that traveled the world and had passed away. This was one of his possessions. So from the story behind it, this is what I know. I don’t know all of the facts. But this is a beautiful purse basket. What you see is what you get the actual item. It’s in good condition. It appears that one of the handle knobs have been replaced as seen in the pictures. One is different than the other. But I think that’s what adds character to it. The whale is what you see is what you get. I’m not sure if it’s complete or if the tail was bigger or not. But this is all an original condition from the fellow that traveled Overseas with it.
