He is George Dewey Sloan, a self-styled \"hard-nosed educator\" whose career has covered more than four decades, the past seven years as principal at Samuel Red Elementary School, 4520 Tonawanda. The ceremony is at 4 p.m. in the Memorial Center at Rice University. George Sloan, principal of Red Elementary School at 4520 Tonawanda, has never missed a day of school in his 31-year career.
