TYPE: Vintage Color Postcard

DESCRIPTION: “Historic View, Nauvoo Mormon Temple (Church ofJesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), Nauvoo, Illinois. Built of light graylimestone, it was 128-feet long, 88-feet high and to the top of tower 200 feet;had 30 hewn pilasters costing $3,000 each. Cost of Temple,$1,000,000. Cornerstone laid April 6, 1841 and dedicated on May 1,1846. Temple burned in November 1848, and in May 1850, a tornadocompleted the destruction.”

CONDITION: Unused; not mailed. Minor corner and edge wear.Soiling and age tanning. Very Good condition.
