A GEM Mint (10) is a perfect (like new) card inevery way. No wear and NEARLY 50/50 centered

A MINT (9) card will be a nearly perfect cardthat looks as clean and sharp as the day it was printed. There will beno surface flaws, bends, creases or stainson the front or the back. Thepicture will becenteredwithin the borderswith a ratio of 55/45 or better all-around and thecorners and edges will be sharp and cleanlike a new business card.

A NM/MT (8) card will appear as a MINT card tothe naked eye but may have a little lesser centering and alight touch of wearthat may be visible on a corner upon close examination.A NM/MT card should haveno surface flaws, bends, creases or stainson the front or back. Centering must be no worse than60/40 all around.

A NM (7) card will look virtually new at firstglance. However, upon closer examination, there may beslight fuzziness to the corners, minorcolor or print imperfectionsandthe centering must still be 65/35 or better all around.

A EX/NM (6) card is a more common “higher”grade for vintage cards, may haveslightly fuzzy corners, color or printimperfections, a slightly skewed cut or slightly out-of-focus image. Centering must be 70/30 or better all around.

A EX (5) card is a most common grade forvintage cards. Thecorners may exhibit the beginnings of roundingfrom light wear.Surface gloss may begin to be affected. Cards should still exhibit at least 75/25 or bettercentering.

A VG/EX (4) card corners will show wear and mayhavelight creasing near the edge. Centering must be 80/20 or better.A light wrinkle or minor crease may beevident on the reverse of the card.More serious print issues and cards with wax stains will also fall into theVG/EX grade.
