1960 Amazing Spider-Man Comic Book Original Art Painting Drawing Steve Ditko VTG:

This belonged to my father and has been in our family for over 60 years. The artist name is unknown and the piece unsigned.

The only information we know is that it was done from a graphic artist in Chicago and made especially for him. As a cubs fan, the artist provided customization. Unfortunately, we do not have provenance or the name of the artist.

The piece measures 23x20 and is in glorious shape for its age. Perhaps it’s from a famous comic book artist, looking forward to hearing from the community on this one. All fair offers considered.

We’ll be sad to see this go but hoping it will end up in the right home.

Hi, the graphic would be from 1965 - 1971 as that was the duration that the image was used by Marvel in their merchandising. It was based off of the original art by Steve Ditko. It looks like it was drawn from the artist looking at the original design, he added the pennant and web background, but there are imperfections.
