The mural by Diego Riveracontained a visual history of theater in the country. Rivera made the mural in silicone and covered it in Venetian glass mosaic . The dimensions of this work reached 550 square meters of painted surface, and its weight exceeded 25 tons.The character of Cantinflas in the form of Robin Hood is in the center of the mural, who distributes the wealth of the rich among the poor. The work also makes reference to Mexican historical figures such as Miguel Hidalgo , Emiliano Zapata or José María Morelos .
