This is an original u.s army signal corps TP-9 also known as the TA-264/pt field phone. It was made in 1954 as the date shows in one of the pictures. It does come without the carrying strap and has the occasional ding and scratch. The handset is a little stiff but is in good condition as well as the overall phone itself. The person who I had bought it from said it was new old stock, and I have tested the ringing, the bell does work when hooked to another field phone. Other than that it is untested since the batteries originally used for this field phone have been long obsolete. This item comes from a smoke free home and would make a great addition to someone’s collection! Thanks for viewing.
