This is an original press photo. Yonkers, New York - Al Dark, shortstop and captain of the world champion New York Giants, keeps a date at the Calvary Baptist Church here yesterday. He promised to address the church's Sunday School pupils before returning to his Lake Charles, Louisiana, home and yesterday was the last Sunday he could have kept his promise. He kept the date because the Giants won the World Series in four games. Dark, at lower left, told the students he has always contributed 10 percent of his income to God and that 10 percent of his estimated $10,000 series bonus will go to Trinity Baptist Church in his home town.Photo measures 8.25 x 10inches.
