1950s era Russian Mstera hand-painted lacquer trinket box “Bandurist”, by Krylov:

Antique1950s era hand-painted lacquer box from the Russian village ofMstera. The box depicts a bandurist (a person who plays theUkrainian plucked string instrument known as the bandura)in the country serenading a young maiden carrying water buckets. Itis signed in Cyrillic on the bottom of the painting with the villagename “Mstera”, the title of the work “Bandurist” and theartist\'s signature “Krylov”.

The box is in superbcondition with no cracks or chips. It measures approximately 5 3/4inches long, 5 3/4 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall.
