1950s Glossy Color Post Card Description:Here\'sa nice, somewhat whimsical, unused postcardadvertising the \"THE BerghoffRESTAURANT\" in Chicago. The frontfeatures colorful drawings representing theBerghoff as it looked in 1898 and as it looks\"today\". The 1898 drawing includes ahorse and buggy and a horse-drawn trolley. Theartist is given as Peter Diem.The card was printed byTHIESSEN PRINTING CORP., CHICAGO. Size:3½\"x 5½\"Date:Notdated, but I\'m fairly certain it\'s from the 1950sor perhaps early 1960s.Condition:Good,I\'d say. The card is unused with sharp edges andcorners. The front has some lightly soiled areasalong the top center, while the back hasnoticeable foxing along the right edge. There arealso very faint diagonal impressions across eachcorner from prior storage in a traditionalpostcard album. (Please see scans.)
