This week I\'m offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1950, Topps issued one of their very first sets featuring something every kid was familiar with - license plates! This had been the subject of an earlier Topps set, as well as a series of sets issued by Goudey Gun in the Thirties. Back in the days when most people didn\'t have TV\'s, much less the electronic media we have today, the license plates of different states had an aura of the exotic that no kid could resist. In order to make the set more educational, Topps included state trivia on the back of the cards.Here I have card #72, \"California.\" See scans for condition. Not too bad for card that\'s over sixty years old. This would be a terrific addition to any collection!Payment is via PayPal; shipping is $2.25 for First Class Mail, and postage will be combined for multiple winnings.
