(PHNY)Sponsored by Rear Admiral William R Furlong, Commandant of PHNY in 1943.Admiral Furlong originated the \"We Keep Them Fit To Fight\" Seal and Slogan.After Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor, Furlong was tasked with the salvaging and repairing of the sunken U.S. ships.
These pins were made designed and built at the PHNY and sold to the employees, who could buy two or three each.
Made from Sterling Silver, procured by Joe Mack, Progressman in the Shop Superintendent\'s Office.
Even the pin portion was designed and built at the Yard.
Quite Rare and a quality made item, from the men that rebuilt the fleet, after the \"Day of Infamy\"
