The XSB2D-1 was a single engine, two place, mid wing torpedo/dive bomber powered by a R-3350-14 engine. The aircraft was capable of two 1,300 bombs or two Mark 13 torpedos! Armament was a upper and lower turret with twin .50 caliber machine guns operated by a remote control turret system (GE) and two forward firing 20MM cannons operated by the pilot.
