1941 Vintage Photo by ACME Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt II and Jean Dalrymple watch the Fritzie Zivic and Al Davis Boxing Fight at the Polo Grounds on July 2. Zivic won in 10 rounds. Jean Van Kirk Dalrymple was an American theater producer, manager, publicist, and playwright who was instrumental in the founding of New York City Center and is best known for her productions there. Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt Jr. was a member of the prominent Vanderbilt family, a son of the first Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, who died a hero in the sinking of the RMS Lusitania.
