1940\'s Abbey cash tray counter top vending machine. Works with a nickel. The trays are in like new condition. Glass is good with an old decal on the outside of the globe.
Simple little mechanical vendor. Pull handle out, insert nickel into the coin slot and pull back. It now has two nickels in it that I used to test. The bottom unscrews to get your $$$. It has wavy glass globe suggesting it to be an early vendor. I will tell the new owner how to defeat the security key as it was lost (there is a key listed on at this time). The cork gaskets look new, although cracked. Missing a top gasket. A dot of rubber cement or silicone will hold the gasket in place.This will be double boxed for safety.
I am going out on a limb here to suggest the smaller one could be NOS, unused, as I bought out an entire estate from a former restaurant and Artic Circle owner and I bought multiples of this vendor. The lid on the smaller one is only finger tight so will unscrew easily. The larger one looks to have held peanuts as there is residue inside the globe. I have not removed the security screw yet but I am soaking it with WD40 and if it comes loose before being sold I will clean the inside as well.
