- 1940 -Mint, Never Hinged, Commemorative Year SetOf U.S. Postage StampsThislot consists ofnine U.S. commemorative postage stamps issued in 1940, as well as an insert (pictured) which lists each stamp's issue date. All stamps are guaranteed to be fault-free and with original (never hinged) gumand are just as fresh as they were when purchased in a post office 84 years ago.
Please note that the stamps are not mounted to any surface. Because of the white borders of both the stamps and the insert, they have been scanned against a black background for a clearer view of both the stamps and the card. The original gum on the stamps has not been disturbed in any way. All stamps are shipped in protective glassine envelopes.This set would make a great birth year gift!
