This is a very rare scarce set of citizen taken amateur photos of Boeing\'s March 18, 1939 crash of its prototype commerical airliner Model S-307 Stratoliner which took off from Boeing Field, Seattle, Washington. Julius Agustus Barr was the test pilot in command, and all ten on board died.
This historical tragic accident was a setback in Boeing\'s and airline development.
This 1939 amateur photo set was taken by a group of citizens who went to the crash site, and they are shown in one of the photos.
Each photo has ink written text on the back, and these photos match the terrain and wreckage of the scene - is a one-of-a-kind extremely rare set.
