London A blue van with two chromium plated show windows displaying scenes of life in the RAF at home and abroad stood outside recruiting offices at Victory House Kingsway to serve as recruiting center for RAF. This van was the first of mobile forces to tour the country to obtain the quota of 31,000 men. One of those joining is Brian Philip Griffin, 17 who left his home in Vancouver British Columbia.
