Vintage 1934 Portfolio Scrapbook - Schoolgirl's Collection of Victorian Centenary, Royal Visit and Victorian town Ephemera

Description: This is an exercise book turned portfolio or scrapbook, compiled in 1934 by a grade 5 girl. The book contains newspaper clippings, advertisements, pictures, a postcard, a map, a tourism brochure, a handwritten page of spelling and maths work, the remnants of plant material, and a brief medical tract singing the praises of sugar. It's a charming and fascinating record of the events, places and items a young girl selected to record 90 years ago.

The scrapbook contains 65 completed pages.

The book measures approximately 24.5cm long by 18.5cm wide.

Condition: This scrapbook is a used, vintage item and shows wear and tear commensurate with its purpose, use and age. The cover, pages and items pasted within show various amounts of wear, damage, staining and tearing. Some pages are quite significantly affected by what looks to be the remnants of some kind of plant material that had been pasted into the scrapbook.Please see photos for details.
