The city Tuesday celebrated the centenary of the arrival here of George Walker, one of the tree founders of Milwaukee. At the left is the scene at Walker's grave in Forest Home cemetery as David William Bruss, 5, grandson of William L Pieplow, sponsor of the Walker memorial movement, placed at the ceremonies at the grave were Mrs Mary Upham, a grand niece of Walker; Mr Pieplow, Lambert Slocomb, Douglas Pieritz and FE Gregorski, officers of the South Division association which sponsored the services. In the picture at the right is a scene from the pageant, depicting 10 episodes in Walker's life, which will be given in Walker Junior High School Tuesday night. The dancing girls are Virginia McClure and Betty Bantlemann. The Indian is Edward Motl. The others are Grace Jehinski, Alice Karczewski, George Buks, Alfred Duffus, Chester Siems, Arthur Harting and Gilbert Kelley. Photo measures 8.5 x 8inches. Photo is dated 03-20-1934. PHOTO FRONT
