This is an ORIGINAL vintage hard-to-find French ladies\' magazine from 1939. Editions of this magazine from before and during WW2 are especially scarce. La Mode Pratique (Practical Fashion) from January 1939 is full of beautiful winter formal wear fashion plates, sewing and knitting patterns, advertisements, articles, and more. This issue even has a sewing pattern diagram for a gorgeous ladies\' coat (photo 2)!
This issue features 28 pages of beautifully illustrated dress and hat fashions in both color and black and white, articles about the latest fashions, frame-able advertisements, and beauty products.
Also included are home decor articles, craft and home decor patterns, children\'s fashions, recipes, a short story installment, and a girl\'s dress knitting pattern.
The magazine is in good condition and has all pages (see photos) with only a little foxing and wear from age. There is a crease down the center of the full magazine, as you can see in the scan.
It measures 9 3/4\" wide and 12 3/4\" tall.
This magazine would be perfect as framed art (I have a few gracing the walls of my studio) or just something really beautiful to read and inspire your next sewing or art project.
