1930s ART NOUVEAU REVERSE PAINTED LAMP – RAINAUD:

This 1930s Art Nouveau two-light reverse painted art glass table lamp was made by Rainaud (in raised letters on the bottom). It is made of cast iron (base), cast metal (center stem, shade frame, shade heat cover & finial) & brass (socket holder cup & socket covers). The entire lamp was stripped down to base metal and reeded slag glass. The metal parts were soaked overlight in RustOff before painting. It has been restored to the original muted brass. Six of the eight reeded white satin finish slag glass panels are original glass & two are new. All are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The original design was reverse painted again in the same muted red, blue, buttercup & pale yellow colors. This classic Art Nouveau reverse painted art glass beauty stands 22” tall & its slag glass shade frame is 16” in diameter. The lamp base is 7” wide. The original pull-chain light sockets have been rewired with new gold cloth covered cord & a new \'antique style\' polarized bakelite plug. The lamp weighs just over 10 lbs. Light bulbs not included. The lamp shade will be double-boxed for shipping.
