1926 Vintage Press Photo.New York.Paul Fjelde, famous sculptor, is giving an exhibition of his sculpture at the Art Center from Nov. 1 to 13. Fjelde entered the studio of Lorado Taft and worked with him for seven years. In 1924 he received a traveling fellowship in sculpture from the American Scandinavian Foundation and spent 18 months in Europe, studying in Copenhagen, Paris, Florence and Rome. Some of principal works are: the Ivar Aasen monument at Concordia College, Moorehead; the Lincoln Monument, Oslo, Norway, of which replicas have been placed in Chicago and the state capitol of North Dakota; the Heg Monument, Drammen, Norway and Madison, Wis. photo shows Paul Fjelde with his bronze group \"Pan and the Owl\" representing the hilarious spirit contrasted to the sober owlish spirit.
