It has been installed to facilitate night travel on the Paris-Marseilles air line and numerous other passenger and mail trans which form a network over France. The plant was first started in 1918 by the B.B. T. Company to insure the return of the French night bombing squadrons but the armistice was signed before the light was completed. The beacon is visible at night for a distance of over 300 miles. Photo measures 8 x 10 inches. Photo Is dated 1926. PHOTO FRONT
