This is a beautiful and rare vintage dinner plate from the Hotel Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Measures 9 3/4\" across. White center with Hotel Cleveland name and logo in gold. Wide cobalt blue rim with gold encrusted bands. The back is marked. Bauscher China Widen-Bavaria Reg. U.S. Pat. Off Arthur Shiller and Son Chicago 1926. Please see photos.
From what I could find online, the Hotel Cleveland was constructed in 1918 and is still in operation today as part of Marriott\'s Autograph Collection.
I recently acquired this as part of an estate collection of restaurant ware china from hotels, railroads, airlines, and the armed forces. I\'ll be listing more over the next week or so.
