1925 AUTO MOBILE Radiator Shields SALES BROCHURE For CHEVY & FORD Long Island :
$19.99

Here is a scarce piece. It is a sales brochure for Weatherking Radiator Shields, made by theMetal Stamping company of Long Island City, New York dated Nov 12th,1925. The Rad shield is basically anaftermarket part that the owner could put on their rad to help regulate enginetemperatures during cold weather. Its basicallyis a frame with louvers that goes over the existing radiator. You could open them and close them as neededfrom inside the car, to cool or insulate the radiator and maintain and protectthe engine. Metal Stamping co made LyonResilient Bumpers and Majestic Brand Spring bumpers as well. The brochure is a 4 page (including front andback) folded type, that measures 8 ½ inchesby 11 inches approximately. It has liststhe prices and of all the cars and itmakes the Weatherking for including Chevy’s Fords Packards Studebakers Willy’s-KnightsHupmobiles and many others. Thebrochure has some fold marks from when it was mailed in an envelope to thedealer back in the day. It has a smalledge tear near the top (less than an inch long) and some yellowing. Despite this I think it still displays verywell for a piece that is 95 years old.I have scanned the front and back pages. They don’t quite fit on my scanner totally, so I took photo’s as well ofthe front back, and interior for you to be able to judge condition foryourself. This is a scarce piece. I doubt many were kept after more than a fewyears, as the new model cars came out, and I doubt many would have survived thepaper recycling drives of World War Two .This is a scarce piece.

I will be trying to list several EARLY TRADE & TYPECARDS over the next few days (spread across different categories),including oneor two that are unrecorded in any guide, that were put given away with Tobacco,Caramel, Candy, Gum, Chocolate, Bread Coffee Tea Cereal and other products, covering such diverse subjects as Native American Indians , Baseball ,Football, Boy Scouts, Ice Hockey, Golf, Presidents of the United States, NCAAand IVY League Colleges and Universities and Circus themes. To view theother cards I have up on please click on the “View Sellers otherItems” Icon located on this page. It will take you directly to them.
