Vtg 1924 RPPC Juneau Alaska Birds Eye View Across River Ed Andrews Photographer unposted Original antique postcard – unposted – back side identifies the photo to 1924 Ed Andrews was born in Norway in 1872. In 1897, he came to Douglas, Alaska, and worked as a clerk in the Treadwell Store. After owning and operating a restaurant, he opened a photography studio specializing in 12 x 20 inch photographs made from negatives of the same size. Andrews served as the official photographer for the Admiral Line, the Alaska Steamship Line, Copper River Railroad, White Pass and Yukon Railway and for Captain Sid Barrington, Stikine River navigator. He lived in Douglas until his death November 30, 1937, at age 65. He was a member of the Alaska Pioneers and Masonic Lodge. Andrews\' negatives were lost in a Douglas fire Condition: Very good condition – upper left corner tip has a crease - unposted - please review the photos. . .
