World War I - US - Photo shows card that is to be used in the Food Conservation Campaign. This card is to be issued to the members of the United States Food Administration. A similar card will be hung in the home of every citizen in New York City within the next few days if Chairman Williams of the Food Card Campaign and his 10,000 co-workers have their way. The cards are to be signed by housewives and are to pledge them to a careful use of food. A house to house canvas in every corner of the city is to start shortly. For the purpose of the campaign every one of the sixty-eight Assembly Districts will have its Captain and each election district its lieutenant and under the officers, the women canvassers will assail the food wasters.
