For sale is an antique 1917 Taylor USANITE USA military Engineers dept. hinged case compass. When the stemmed button is pressed, the top opens up on its own volition, help is not unusually required. The outside of the case has typical tarnish and some dark stains. I personally believe everything on the case would buff out if one so desires. The crystal appears to be fully intact. The compass can still clearly be seen although it is a little cloudy and has small particles or something in it. The inside could use a good professional cleaning. I don’t see any major dings or dents on the case. Considering it’s over 100 years old, it’s in pretty good condition in my unprofessional opinion. Overall very nice original war time era item!!
