A very scarce genuine vintage AMERICA FIRST Flags Radiator Mascot. Dated and Marked & Copyrighted 1915 Louis V. Aronson. A true one-off year for this ornament. Aronson made these Patriotic styled Radiator toppers from 1915-1917 with the first year being of it\'s own design. As you will see from the pictures \"AMERICA FIRST is shown as a shield between the flags. From 1916 onwards, there was no shield, only cut-out letters of \"AMERICA FIRST\". Unfortunately the right side flag is half missing. It appears to have been gone for many decades. That edge was ground smooth many many years ago.
Each of Aronson\'s toppers were dated and copyrighted by year. A 1916 Version sold at Sotheby\'s back in 2019 for $1800. So despite the flaw this is still an exceptionally good deal. This is something you rarely see even at high end sales. Solid Brass that was once colorfully porcelain coated. Measures out to 3-1/4\" Tall by 4-1/2\" Wide. base has a 1.5\" Diameter. An American Made Automotive Accessory created well over 100 years ago. I am sure 1915 was a tough year to live in but all people put America First back then. I would rather live back in 1915 than in caves eating raw meat -which is where we are all headed. An Iconic and now Ironic piece of true Patriotic Americana that adorned the hoods of fine Antique Automobiles. 1915 marked the last year of the Brass Era Automobile.
