You are offerding on a single page (two sided) out of the 1914 Naval Academy yearbook “The Lucky Bag”. Signedon one side; (page 159) is signed by Future Rear Admiral George Barry Wilson; while (page 160) is an unsigned Andrew Hughes Addoms. This page is in lesser condition than the others I have listed, and can be seen in the photos. I have reflected this lesser condition in the pricing. The autograph of Wilson is strong and is not affected by condition issues.
I also have a listing covering all pages of this same year book in one lot, with nearly every page signed, look through my additional listings. These single page listings represents duplicates of the individuals who achieved Flag Rank as I had two 1914 “Lucky Bags”.

NOTE: I HAVE COLLECTED A NUMBER OF NAVAL ACADEMY “LUCKY BAG” YEARBOOKS OVER THE YEARS AND TWO THINGS I HAVE DETERMINED ABOUT THE 1914 YEARBOOKS. FIRST THAT THE 1914 YEARBOOK UNLIKE THOSE IN PREVIOUS YEARS OR YEARS TO FOLLOW DID NOT STAND UP WELL TO WEAR OVER THE YEARS, WITH THE BINDINGS AND COVERS USUALLY BECOMING DETACHED, MAY HAVE BEEN DUE TO AN EXPERIMENTATION WITH PAPER OR BINDING METHOD. MY SECOND FINDING IS THAT WHILE YOU MAY FIND A RANDOM SIGNATURE IN OTHER “LUCKY BAG” YEARS, 1914 SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY YEAR WHERE THE MIDSHIPMEN SEEMED TO HAVE GOTTEN TOGETHER FOR SOMETHING SUCH AS A SIGNING PARTY. THESE TWO FACTORS COMBINED WITH THE FACT THAT DUE TO WWII THIS CLASS ACHIEVED GREATNESS AT A VERY HIGH LEVEL. WHILE IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE THESE Up for offer as a compete autographed yearbook is what it is.
