South Carolina briefly trained midshipmen from theUS Naval Academyin June before departing at the end of the month for Mexico. There, she cruised offTampicoand Veracruz to protect American interests during theMexican Civil War. She returned to Norfolk for an overhaul in September that lasted until January 1914.

Goodcondition with normal wear along edges and corners/may include slight wrinklesand folds.
