This is the first electric chafing dish. They used the same product from 1908 that wasnt electric and turned it into electric. They changed the look in later years and added more patent dates on the bottom...this one only has one! They also added an \"E\" on front of model number. This one is simply 920. Patent 1912 Landers, Frary & Clark Copper 2 speed chafing pan. I deal in antiques and I use them. Why? Because they were well built and made to last! This is one of the coolest pieces I have ever came across. I have researched this item and could not find another one like it! I found a few that were younger but not this old...not even in the Smithsonian..none were copper. It does not have a plug but did see several 2 prong plugs for sale during my research. It also needs to be cleaned if you want to use it. It has two areas for the plug, one is for fast and the other is for slow. It is copper with brass handles. The lid and handles have ebony wood holders. It will be a beautiful piece if you choose to clean. If I had a larger home I would not be selling. Please see pictures.
