This divided back lithographed postcard is captioned \"\'Yujos\' of Yoshiwara making their toilettes.\" Yoshiwara was one of three \"red light districts\" in Edo (now Tokyo). The was posted to San Diego, California in March/April 1911. The sender was \"out of post cards so will send you a Japanese on I got at a Jap store in St. Paul.\" The sender and recipient were both postcard collectors.
The card is in the posted condition shown in the photos. It has very light edge and corner wear, with no tears, creases or other defects noted.Please see the full description and all photos of the actual item you will receive to confirm that the condition is suitable to your needs.
