18th C French Epee Small Sword King Louis XV Battle War Napoleon: $999.00
I am offering for sale a rare 18th Century French epee or small sword dating to the era of Louis XV. The grip is intricately wrapped in silver wire. The clam shell guard is nicely ornamented. This model is a variant of the small sword shown in the authoritative French sword guide, Les Epees by Jean Lhoste, in figure 302 on page 179. It is in excellent condition for its age. It measures 35 1/4" long.
