Here\'s a nice, little 7/8\" cello lapel stud from the 1896 presidential campaign promoting democrat candidate William Jennings Bryan in a design with a victory slogan at top. This is from his first attempt at the presidency, when he was nominated mainly for giving a great speech at the Democratic National Convention, referred to as \"The Cross of Gold\" speech. He lost in a big upset to republican William McKinley, and then they competed again in 1900 with the same result. He stayed out of the race in 1904 (not by choice) and tried against for that top job against another GOP William, Taft that is, in 1908 with the biggest defeat of his three tries.
This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase.
