1890s Cabinet Card Photograph COUNT & COUNTESS MAGRI Circus Dwarfs Performers:

Interesting antique cardboard mounted photograph of Count & Countess Magri and Baron Magri of Italy.  

These famous late 19th c  dwarf actors toured the world with other dwarfs and actors performing famous plays.  Countess Magri was the widow of the famous dwarf Tom Thumb.  They were part of a troupe working with P.T. Barnum.  

The back of the card is signed in script, Baron Ernesto Magri of Bologna, Italy and Count Magri, Bologna Italy.  

The cardboard card measures 4 1/4" X 6 1/2".  

The mount is marked 'Swords Bro's Professional Photographers, York, Pa.'
