Church of England mission priest known as "the martyr of St Alban's" on account of his prosecution and forced resignation for ritualist practices.
Presumably written whilst he was under suspension for not obeying the 1875 judgement against him,this small signed notes confirms provision of a cheque towards a testimonial for "my most esteemed friend Mr Boddington ".I think this is the Rev. G. Boddington of Willenhall. I never add additional folds, if the item is shown with a parcel postage price that is because it is oversized and will not fit in a small or large letter envelope.
I'm always happy to combine postage when I can.
