1864-1917 F ZERELL OF IL, MN CIVIL WAR DISCHARGE & COURT DOCUMENTS IN PERIOD BINDER
This is a collection of 12 documents and six envelopes spanning from 1864 to 1917 including discharge paperwork for Private Ferdinand Zerell and numerous court documents, most of which pertain to property belonging to him and his wife Barbara, as well as her widow's benefits.
Documents and envelopes show age related staining, deterioration.
The double sided leather binder is marked HUMEL and has initials (ATH? AJM?) scratched onto an inside face. The leather is worn and one of the two inside pockets is separated at the sides due to age.

1. Discharge paper: Ferdinand Zerell Private of Captain A.S. Jones (James?) 141st Regiment of Illinois volunteers discharged October 5, 1864. He was born in Germany, is 30 years old, 6'1" with light complexion and blue eyes, light hair and was a farmer when he enrolled.
