1860’s freed slave Rebecca. Published by J E McClees. Images like these were produced and sold for African American war relief efforts. History says proceeds from the sales went to freed slaves. I can’t attest to the legitimacy of those claims. They did lighter skinned freed slaves as the subjects of the cdv’s in most cases. About 2 by 4 inch in size. Stains, toning and wear.
