1850s Antique Jerome & Co 8-day Steeple Clock New Haven clock. The clock has a beautiful under glass that features a grapevine and grapes. THE CLOCK WORKS GREAT. And I have let it run for a day long. The clock was built around 1845 to 1855 according to its previous owners note. The clock was reserviced in 1934 and 1941 according to the pencil writing on the back of the clock. The clock key is made out of an iron material. The clock has the original paper from the manufacturer inside, But the paper does have some wear. The clocks chime works and sounds like a ding ding ding, like a school bell or old fire alarm. The enamel painted clock face has some crazing due to age. The clock is in great condition for its age but does have some flaws. The Grape scene has a few spots of touch-up paint. The clock has some scratches and shipping in the wood throughout the frame of the clock please search the pictures to see where. The back piece of wood underneath the tape there is a hole which is why the tape was put there because you don\'t want dust to get into the movement. The back of the clocks wood has several cracks and spots of deterioration and wear. The top Tower pieces of wood are a bit wobbly but in great condition. The clock\'s hands are a bit loose as well But work just fine. The clocks enamel face as wear and the pendulum has some odd patina on the brass part.
