Antique daguerreotype of General Daniel D Minier, New York State Militia. In good condition, for age, has condition issues as seen in the photos. The image is also very dark in person. The scratch on the left looks to be on the plate not on the glass. The cover is no longer attached to the back. Wear & pilling to the leather trim. Only other example I could find was in the George Eastman House archives. Image was not removed from case.
Measurements...Image itself roughly 3 inches by 4 inches including matte around the image.With case included 3 3/4 inches wide by almost 4 3/4 inches.
