RARE ... RARE ... RARE! Many years ago I purchased a collection of 19th century French foil flowers and garlands. I decorated with a number of the pieces, and put the rest away. I have decided that is time to bring out the rest of these flowers and make them available for others to enjoy..

This bouquet features an arrangement of foil stylized roses and other flowers and leaves on wire. There are also dangle flowers suspended from a string and attached to wire for just a touch of whimsy! Some of the flowers have black strands at the center, and bronze glass balls. All of the flowers and leaves are on individual wire, then wired together, and covered with old ivory colored paper tape ... some of the wire stems have been covered with cotton and then taped..

This bouquet will come tied with a large ribbon bow. Use as a bouquet, separate the stems and use in a vase, or use for other projects. Leave as original flower, or color ... such as silver or white and placed under a dome. (See photos for examples). They look beautiful added to a garland or wreath with berries ... which is what I did for the holidays.

These flowers are over 100 years old and were used as decoration in churches. The flowers and leaves were originally a silver with brassy, copper and gold overlay coloring. With age and due to their fragility, some of the colors have worn back to the silver, so when you look at them, you get a combination of all colors. They have a wonderful old aged worn look. I have not done anything with them, and are just as I got them. The leaves and petals are crumpled, so I leave it to you to decide if you want to gently smooth some of the petals and leaves out, which is what I did ... and they look wonderful! Note, they are fragile, so some will come loose.

Beautiful for the holidays or all year. I leave my bouquets up all year!
