1800'S vintage, Joseph Rogers and Sons Spear Point knife that measures 14 1/2 inches overall with a 9 inch blade. The blade is marked on the ricasso area: JOSEPH ROGERS & SONS, 6 NO (unreadable) , SHEFFIELD with two crest below. The knife has a leather scabbard that is marked on the reverse, the leather belt loop has a vintage repair. This exact knife is featured on the book cover: BOWIE KNIVES AND BAYONETS OF THE BEN PALMER COLLECTION, 2nd Edition.
