This is a complete series of 16 primary sheets and 2 supplemental sheets (18 in all) of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, Third Division, dated June 30, 1919.These maps cover the line from From Aberdeen to Montrose including Gunnison, Iola, Sapinero, Cimarron and Cerro Summit. They are well detailed and signed by Assistant Chief Engineer Arthur Ridgway (the first map is also signed by Chief Engineer J.G. Gwyn). Arthur Ridgway was a Civil Engineer for the D & RG Railroad and had the distinction of having the railroad town of Ridgway, Colorado, named after him when the Rio Grande Southern landed its Division Point there in the early 1890\'s.
The 16 primary sheets are 1\" = 400\' scale Right of Way and Track Maps which cover survey stations 0+00 to 3196+36.
The 2 supplemental sheets are 1\" = 100\' scale Station Maps of Sapinero, CO and Cimarron, CO.
These maps are copies of originals from the Colorado Railroad Museum Collection in Golden. CO.
Each page is 57\" x 24\" and they are bound in a metal binder.
