This is quite a deluxe collection of facsimile documents (priceless if original), most pertaining to the American Revolution but a few later ones as you can see above. Some were printed on parchment and treated to look very old, others on old paper. A few of these can be found at reasonable prices, but a good numbr of them cannot. This collection originally belonged to Harriet Dyer Adams, (1910-2005), a librarian at the University at Albany who served as head of Special Collections in the 1970s. Adams was a 1927 graduate of the Milne School and in 1960 received her MLS degree from our University. Previously, she was a museum curator and worked in several art museums, including serving as the second female curator of the Cranbrook Art Museum from 1944-1948. Later she was acting director and curator, of the Person Hall Art Gallery at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
