A 100 year old 1924 Parker, D.Q. an abbreviation for Duo-Fold Quality. Discontinued in 1925. A rare one year pen ? One tine had iridium missing, removed iridium from other & shaped a usable point removing as little gold as possible. Very Smooth ! Nice variation possible, no flex,simply turn pen upside for super fine effects. Was photoed right after scribble,very little ink creep, stays clean. Very Fun Old Pen ! Was missing cap band with damage to cap edge. Created a cap band from a section of a spent 45 shell expanded a bit, perfect fit. Used gun bluing & other things to try to match natural patina on clip, got kinda close? Secured by shellac for easy removal in case you have an original. Barrel & cap were treated for light tan oxidation, barrel is darker than cap. Imprint on barrel is weak but visible,\"Parker D.Q. GEO.S.PARKER JANESVILLE LUCKY CURVE FOUNTAIN PEN WIS. U.S.A. PAT. 4-25-11. Clip imprint , PAT.SEP.5-16 PARKER. Great satisfaction restoring it\'s usefulness & Great Fun Testing It ! Has a new silicone ink boot. Last photo shows pen apart for cleaning. You can see lucky curve feed complete,some have curve end removed. Will be clean & ready for your favorite ink. I used Parker Quink for scribble. ?\'s, ? Test scribble & partial shell included.
