100+Year Old NOS John Deere Mower Sign Waterloo Boy330Dain430A530B630G730H830D R:

Due to extremely heavy snow in Montana the last day or so, I am stuck in Billings Montana which is 140 miles from my home in Bozeman Montana. I found this very rare if not unique item in western North Dakota two days ago. Today, I decided to get some preliminary photos of it and list it here for the world of John Deere collectors to enjoy. I hope to have better photos (without white snow streaks or water spots) in a day or two and update this listing at that time.
This is an NOS (new old stock) 52-inch long wood divider board from a horse-drawn John Deere mower built around a hundred years or so ago. The divider board was mounted on the end of the sickle that was located the farthest from the mower. It was used to keep the hay cut on the previous round from falling on and messing up the drive end of the sickle. Divider boards like this were used on every horse-drawn or tractor-drawn sickle mower that I have ever seen.
This item has never been mounted on the outer end of a mower sickle. It does show some minor wear from being stored in many different facilities for the last century or so.
I am sure the yellow lettering was done with a stencil. I would bet that the narrow white pin striping around the perimeter of this item was done freehand. The part number stenciled on the back in black letters appears to be HZ9166. All of these photos were taken with this sign setting on a pair of black drawer handles which are NOT part of this listing.
This may be your only chance to own one of these scarce items in unused condition. You might do well to give some very serious thought to hitting the \"Buy It Now\" button before some other very serious John Deere enthusiast does so.
